Sad sad day

This morning we got the kind of phone call you dread. Lisa's dad died this morning of a heart attack. He was 59 and in apparent good health. The funeral will be in Ohio this weekend. Sadly, he never got to see Oliver. He and Lisa's mom were scheduled to visit later this month.

We're working out how to talk to Henry about it when he gets home from school this afternoon.

Woody was a great dad, granddad, and father-in-law. We all loved him. I look around this old house and see him in every room. He helped me hang drywall, lay tile, trim out windows.

He and Lisa's mom have been married since they were 18 years old.

We will miss him.
