Strategic Doing for Ecosystem Builders: Practitioner & Certification Training - Coming in 2021

Scott Hutcheson is a fellow of the Strategic Doing Institute and co-creator, along with Ed Morrison, of the Strategic Doing Practitioner Training. For the first time Scott, in partnership with the Strategic Doing Institute, is offering this training specifically customized for entrepreneurship ecosystem builders.

 This training will help you design and guide the complex collaborations needed in entrepreneurship ecosystem building. Strategic Doing is an adaptable process to rapidly build complex collaborations, move them toward measurable outcomes, and make adjustments along the way. In this training you will explore this powerful discipline, learn why it works, and how to apply it in the development of entrepreneurship ecosystems. You’ll learn how to align agendas and resources even when there’s no “command and control” structure.

In this training, you’ll be learning Strategic Doing by doing it, participating in a fast-paced, interactive simulation. You’ll also get plenty of time for unpacking why Strategic Doing works so you can make it your own. The training culminates with time for you to consider how to start using Strategic Doing right away to begin making headway on your entrepreneurship ecosystem work. You’ll get assistance from the instructors as well as your peers so you can hit the ground running. Participants receive a copy of the book: Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership (Wiley, 2019), the Strategic Doing Practitioner’s Field Guide, a Strategic Doing Trail Map, as well as access to an online library of resources.

The training will be offered online in five 4-hour blocks spread out over the course of three weeks. Your lead instructor will be Scott Hutcheson, PhD, who teaches in and directs the Organizational Leadership program in the Purdue Polytechnic Institutes Technology Leadership and Innovation Department at Purdue University. Scott is also co-author of Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership. He has taught Strategic Doing to thousands of learners from 143 different countries.
