Wayfinding

Wayfinding

We’ve been looking into the research related to “wayfinding,” the navigational symbols and language used to help people navigate unfamiliar places like city centers, airports, and hospitals. FYI, many European cities do this better that we do in the US. The big lesson learned is that a visitor does not need to know what the entire journey looks like. It seems that just knowing your next step does much to reduce anxiety and increase confidence in reaching one’s destination. This helps explain in part, we think, why Strategic Doing works. It helps people see the next step they will take together in their strategic transformation. Need to do a better job of wayfinding to help people in your organization or community move forward? Connect with us to learn how Strategic Doing can help.
